Nightingale in NYC This Weekend

This weekend, April 8th, 9th and 10th, “The Nightingale and the Rose” will play four (already sold-out) performances in New York, at the Medicine Show Theatre. Thanks to everyone who’s bought tickets! We look forward to seeing you all there.

Nightingale Discussion at Soho House

On Tuesday, April 5th, from 7pm-8.30pm, Benjamin will be hosting a discussion on how new opera gets written. The event, which is being held at the Soho House New York, is free and open to the public.

The discussion will center on “The Nightingale and the Rose.” Benjamin will be joined by some cast members, who will sing excerpts from the show. The event will conclude with an audience Q+A.

Metropolis Opera Project

We’re delighted to have “The Nightingale and the Rose” be included as part of Metropolis Opera Project’s One Act Festival, which takes place from April 8-10, 2011. Metropolis Opera Project is a non-for-profit opera company that puts on new and forgotten operas. It was founded in 2009 by Zachary James and Megan Nelson.
